Specialty Skills Clinics
The specialty clinics are technical development skills only program that will focus on proper teaching methods to reinforce the mechanics and execution of important skills used in the game of soccer.
It is lead by Shawn Griffin, Director of Coaching for the Victor Soccer Club and Head Soccer Coach at Hobart College and has over 20 years of head coaching experience at the collegiate level.
Similar academy programs are popping up all over the United States throughout all the top clubs and it is our goal to continue to bring the very best opportunity to our players so that they will benefit directly from the expertise and coaching we will provide.
Ball Mastery & First Touch Skills Clinic

Details
During this program, players will be taught fundamental Ball Mastery Skills that are essential to “first touch development” along with various Dribbling Techniques used for different aspects of the game. An assortment of various 1v1 Attacking moves will also be taught which will help players recognize the importance of attacking play and how Ball Mastery, Dribbling Techniques and 1v1 Attacking are all tied together as one piece.

Details
During this program, players will learn the various technique’s to SCORE GOALS! Through various training methods, players will be taught the different ball striking techniques used to strike balls when in a scoring situation. Through a variety of shooting drills and games, players will be put in positions that replicate game situations in which they have to choose the proper ‘”striking” techniques and decision when attempting to score a goal.

Shawn Griffin, Hobart College Head Coach - Details
Just the fifth man to guide the Hobart soccer program, Shawn Griffin is entering his 19th season at the helm. Prior to joining the Statesmen in 2000, Griffin served nine seasons on the soccer staff at Plymouth State (N.H.) University, including eight as head coach.
