HEAT & BAD WEATHER RULES FOR ALL AGE GROUPS

Heat

Coaches and referees are expected to use common sense in the event of high heat and/or humidity. Player safety must be the prime consideration. In the event of high heat (over 90°F) and/or humidity, the referee and coaches should agree on the following:

  • Playing 4 quarters with 2 minute water break between quarters
  • Substitutions allowed at any stoppage of play for both teams
  • The coaches and referee may mutually agree to shorten the halves of the game.
Bad Weather

If you do not receive an email from the Victor Soccer Club announcing field cancelations all team members must show up for games to avoid a forfeit. If you do not report and referee fees are due the Home Team Head Coach is responsible of any and all referee fees due.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL OR TEXT OR CALL YOUR COACH OR CLUB DIRECTORS IF IT IS RAINING.

We will either email of all cancelations or please assume all games are being played.

The referee will make any necessary decisions at the field regarding dangerous weather conditions at the time of the game. If thunder and/or lightning are observed, the game will be canceled immediately.  If the game is at or beyond the halfway mark the team leading at the time of stoppage of play will be declared the winner. If the game is tied, it stands.  If a game has not reached the halfway mark, it will be rescheduled and played in its entirety.
